The Problem with the Common Core

The problem with the Common Core is the way it is being implemented.  Schools do not have the time to develop a deep understanding of the standards and to carefully create curriculum and choose resources.  It is now driven by high stakes testing.  Read my thoughts on this here….

Take a look at the links in the article. They provide a good survey of some of the very important problems with the Common Core standards, especially in the younger grades.
