Regent Betty Rosa speaks the truth about Cuomo’s evaluation system

Some Regents are in full rebellion. They know the new APPR system passed by the legislature is wrong. They spoke out today. Here is my favorite quote from Regent Betty Rosa….

We have a lot of conversations with educators, practitioners, experts, researchers and yet, despite all of that, … we are willing to give this experimental drug, this poison in some ways, to our children, to our teachers,” said Regent Betty Rosa, who represents the Bronx on the board. “How do I know that the teachers we select to be ineffective are the right teachers? … I think as a Board of Regents, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to do the right thing, not just to comply.”
